SURGERY / OPERATIONS (WITH INHALATION ANESTHESIA AND MONITORING)

In our practice we carry out all common soft tissue surgeries, for example:

- Neutering,

- Removal of tumors

- Caesarean section

- Correction of eye lids

- Torsion of stomach

- Dressing of wounds

- Removal of bladder stones

- Foreign bodies in the gastro-intestinal tract

as well as some bone and joint surgery.

For special operations, we co-operate with a surgical referral practice.

For these more specialized surgeries, we will still be by your side to offer support, advice and assistance throughout the entire medical treatment of your pet!

The kind of anesthesia chosen is matched to the patient.

It depends on:

- the kind of operation,

- the duration of the procedure and especially

- the general health status of the patient.

We choose a combination of sedatives and anesthetic agents, which are given by injection. The anesthetic is maintained using a mixture of anesthetic gas and oxygen. We monitor the patient’s vital signs throughout the procedure (respiratory rate monitor, ECG monitor).

A gentle wake up from anesthesia is taken care of!

Dogs go home with their owners shortly after surgery, once the anesthesia has worn off.

If desired, you can be present as your pet wakes up.

Cats and small mammals stay under a heat lamp for postoperative monitoring for a longer period before they can be taken home.

We are especially proud of our proven anesthesia management for elderly patients at risk.

Your pet is in good hands!
