MICROCHIP IDENTIFICATION (MINI TRANSPONDER) REGISTRATION AT TASSO (CENTRAL ANIMAL REGISTRY)

According to the Berlin dog ownership regulation and also for traveling abroad, the microchip is mandatory. A rabies vaccination is only officially valid in conjunction with an identification microchip. A tattoo as was customary, is no longer accepted since July 2011.

Microchip identification is very important, not only for dogs and cats running free but also for indoor cats. There is always a small chance that your indoor cat will accidentally slip outside through an open window or door. A cat who is not used to being outside may panic and bolt, or may become excited by the new sights and smells, and wander off.  A microchip could aid in the recovery of your pet.

Each microchip number is globally unique, containing a country code and a combination of  numbers. It facilitates the recovery of runaway animals and also protects your pet from theft and kidnapping.

We selected the smallest chip that is currently available. This means significantly less pain at the injection site with the same function. On request, you can also choose the number on the microchip!!!

After setting the chip we register your pet in a nationwide database (TASSO Pet Central Register). This is free of charge and without obligation.

Veterinarians, animal shelters and police have readers for the chip that is implanted uniformly on the left side of the neck, so that a quick reading and assignment to its rightful owner is guaranteed.
